Elmo is a fun gaugeless collar pattern you can easily adjust the neck circumference of as you knit. It has two sister/brother designs; MEL the top-down collar and LEM the bottom-up one, and Elmo is the sideway version of this playful doughnut shaped collar design. Just a single color yarn is enough to enjoy the fun shape, but you can of course play with colors or textures!

Required techniques:
knit, purl, M1L, k2tog, ssk, W&T etc

Yarn:
Approximately 200 m / 219 yards of Fingering weight yarn held double or 80 m / 88 yards of DK weight yarn
or 110 m / 120 yards of Aran weight yarn
or 110 m / 120 yards of Bulky weight yarn

Gauge & Needles:
Any gauges and any needle sizes

Notions:
tapestry needle for weaving in ends
