ボトムアップで編むつけ襟 LEM を編むのが楽しかったので、トップダウンでも編んでみたくなり MEL が生まれました。さりげないけれど楽しい2色の編み込み模様が特徴で遊び心あるデザインが、どんな子供にも（遊び心を忘れない全ての人に）似合います。身の周りの植物を使ってキッチンで染めた糸、一度に少しずつしかできない糸。たくさんはないけれどとっておきの糸を生かしたくて考えたデザインです。コットンの糸で編んでよだれかけとして使うのもおすすめです。

MEL is a sister pattern of LEM knitted bottom-up. MEL is a top-down version of this playful design which features a subtle but fun colorwork design. I am a kitchen natural dyer and have only one pot for my dyeing project which results in small quantities of dyed yarns each time. I designed this collar to make the most of the limited amount of my naturally dyed yarns.
